Walltopia is the world's leading climbing wall manufacturer, operating on 6 continents through offices in the USA, UK, Canada, Germany, Austria, Russia and Asia Pacific and exporting to more than 50 countries around the globe. The company's core business is the design and production of climbing walls and activity based adventure attractions. Among its customers are climbing gyms, schools, shopping centers, kindergartens, amusement and water parks, recreation and entertainment centers, hotels, shopping malls, military, police and fire-brigade departments.
The company was founded in Bulgaria in 1996 by two climbers - Ivaylo Penchev and Metin Musov. Today, Walltopia employs more than 600 professionals in the departments of architecture & design, engineering, sales, marketing, accounting, logistics and installation.

History
Development of climbing products
In 2004 the company introduces a new climbing wall design with multi-angled planes, which provide an endless variety of three dimensional design possibilities, while maintaining a clean and minimalistic appearance - Geome3x.
In 2005 the company starts the production of hydraulic walls and boulders which allow for overhang adjustments, and a larger diversity of climbing routes without additional investment.
In 2006, Walltopia starts the production of mobile climbing walls which are widely used when organizing corporate events, youth conferences, and competitions around the world.
In December, 2006, Walltopia opens an office in the UK.
In 2007 Rocktopia walls are introduced to the market. These walls resemble and feel like real rocks.
In 2008, a new style of climbing walls is developed - 3D Curves. These are tridimensional panels which can be curved to simulate climbing very high walls.
In February, 2008, Walltopia USA office opens doors.
In 2009, Walltopia Canada is registered as a Walltopia subsidiary. The same year Super 3D Curves is launched, allowing nearly perfect spherical shapes to be achieved.
In 2010, a new factory in Letnitsa, Bulgaria begins operations and Walltopia starts the production of auto belays and climbing mats.
On May 20, 2015 Walltopia launches the Harmonized System which aims to revolutionize the climbing industry by offering a mix-and-match modular system of climbing walls (lead, top-rope and boulders).
On September 10, 2015 Walltopia's brand for flooring, Climbmat, starts building its own R&D center and factory focused on the development of impact absorbing flooring solutions.
On April 20, 2017 Walltopia opens its very own climbing gym, located at the company's Headquarters in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Development of adventure products
In 2011 the company starts the production of Fun Walls - interactive climbing walls for children and young adults, and Ropetopia- ropes courses.
In 2013 Walltopia opens its first bouldering center "Boulderland" and children's climbing center, "Funtopia", in Paradise Shopping Center,Sofia, Bulgaria.
On August 10, 2015 Walltopia joined forces with BlackPeak Capital and the China-CEE Fund. The partnership aims to support the company's impressive growth and innovative amusement products.
In May , 2016 Walltopia launches Ninja Course - obstacle courses that challenge and help improve the strength, endurance, coordination, agility and balance of teenagers and young adults.

Ninja Course - obstacle courses that challenge and improve strength, endurance, coordination, agility and balance, allowing participants to train, compete and unwind in a safe environment.
Adventure Hub - all of Walltopia Adventure's products, combined into one massive active entertainment attraction. Walltopia Adventure Hubs can be customly designed and made to fit any indoor or outdoor location.
Fun Walls Scoring System: A mobile app and wall sensor system that combines the pleasure of climbing and adventure with online games. Climbers wear RFID bracelets to get points from their climbing challenges and then pass them on to an online global and regional ranking system.

Walltopia is certified and operates in compliance with the requirements of the international quality and environment management standards ISO 9001/2008 and ISO 14001/2008 covering Design, Engineering, Production, Installation, Sales and Aftersale servicing of Artificial Climbing Structures. The design, engineering and manufacturing of the climbing walls is done in compliance with the standards set forth by EN 12572, EN 1991 Actions on structures (part EN 1991-1, EN 1991-1-3, EN 1991-1-4, EN 1991-1-6) and EN 1993 Design of steel structures or by any other applicable standards.

In 2011 Walltopia won first place award in the "Business Development" category of the Forbes business awards.
In 2012 the company won the "Most Innovative Company" award at the 8th National Innovation Forum, organized by the Enterprise Europe Network.
In 2013 Walltopia was given Class A investor status by the Bulgarian authorities for its commitment to invest more than 7m BGN in a research and development facility in Bulgaria's first Sofia Tech Park.
In 2015 the Rollglider won the "Best New Product" award at the IAAPA Attractions Expo 2015.
Sponsorships
Walltopia supports the development of climbing as a sport in Bulgaria. For several consecutive years the company has given scholarships to 14 young climbers in two categories - under 14 and between 14 and 18 years old.
